🎃 Halloween this year falls on a good schedule because
1. We get an extra hour, and
2. The morning after is #SundayRunday!
Utilized the extra hour to burn off those Halloween treats. 👻 3 miles done and dusted.
What better way to start the new month? Sunday brunch.
Halloween might be over, but I was still feeling the spooks on the dark and gloomy Sunday morning.
At home, my mom and I regularly make homemade soymilk, but this is the first time we made soymilk using black soybeans!
It tastes sweeter than regular soybeans, and the soybean pulp leftover (called okara or 豆渣) is blackish gray in color. I thought that it’d go great with black sesame.
End result: fresh made black soy milk + sesame okara pancakes. Papaya kiwi goji fruit platter. Black sesame butter for drizzling on top. 🐼🎃
I thought the taste was great, but the recipe still needs tweaking! 😉
